Customers, volunteers, partners and invited guests attended a special event at Baswich and Holmcroft Libraries to celebrate their official opening as community managed libraries.
Catherine Mann, Libraries and Arts Manager, and Neil Carr, Chief Executive of the South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS Foundation Trust, spoke about the success of the partnership between Staffordshire Libraries and South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS Foundation Trust, and thanked the volunteers for their hard work and commitment to providing the library service for the local community.
Since we have opened we have seen a steady increase in the numbers of volunteers at both these libraries. At Holmcroft, the number of volunteers has increased from 4 to 15 and at Baswich Helen Blog 1 Holmcroft Launch jpeg Jan 17the team has grown from 14 to 27.
